A manifestation journal: How to get started

A manifestation journal

When it comes to visualizing your future, a manifestation journal is a great tool. Not to mention that it’s a great way to spend a rainy day indoors. A few things and a dash of creativity are all you’ll need to get started journaling, which may not attract what you want but will bring some clarity into your life.

Let’s begin with the meaning of a manifestation journal:

A manifestation journal is a space to write down thoughts, dreams, goals, plans, or other desires. Journaling entails focusing on rewriting, setting goals, finding meaning, and believing in yourself while mapping a path forward.

To begin using a journal for the purpose of manifesting on paper, all you need is a notebook and some sort of a pen (no specifics are needed at this point). And if you’re prepared, I will take you step-by-step through the process of getting started with the process.

Step 1: Find a journal devoted to this topic

Choosing a journal is the first thing to do. After that, it’s up to you whether you want to write on a computer or in a physical journal made of paper.

If you would rather record your thoughts in a physical notebook made of paper, you have the option of selecting one that contains either blank pages or pages with pre-written instructions. It is important to choose a journal that feels right and pleasant to write on.

You are free to add your own unique flair to your journal and select a variety of different pens and other writing implements that are reserved for use with this particular endeavor. This will result in a one-of-a-kind ambiance, and if you want to make it cozier, you may light a candle in your preferred fragrance (the scent of lavender or a duo of vanilla and orchid is perfect for this). After that, continue to the next step.

Step 2: Make a vision for yourself and stay focused on it

When trying to bring something into existence, it is essential to be clear and extremely detailed about what you want. The more specific you can be, the better!

You may give the 369 method a shot to make the process more fun and consistent. This method was initially developed by Nikola Tesla. And surprisingly, it has recently experienced a boom in popularity, as evidenced by the fact that videos on TikTok using the hashtag “369method” have collectively amassed more than 213.4 million views. You won’t have to look very hard to locate people on the app who claim the strategy has assisted them in achieving their dream life.

The 369 method is an easy one to follow. Specifically, it entails writing down what it is that you would like to materialize. You should do it three times in the morning, six times during the day, and nine times in the evening.

Step 3: Create aspirations for the future

It’s incredibly crucial to feel that what you’re manifesting is genuine when you’re doing it. For example, there is a form of journaling known as “future self journaling,” in which the author writes about where they want their life to be in the future but writes as if it already exists in the present.

To put it in its most basic form, you start by writing down what you want your future self to experience, what you think the future holds, and ways in which you might make those things happen. What steps can you take right now to make it a reality? Maintaining honesty and adaptability in your journal is important; nevertheless, you shouldn’t pressure yourself to write a lot in your manifestation journal initially.

Even if you can’t think of anything to write about your future aspirations or goals, just start by composing a sentence or two about how your day went or things for which you’re grateful.

You can also make a vision board; for more information on a vision board and how you can make your own, read here.

The bottom line

A quick reminder! In order to keep a manifestation journal, there is no “ideal” formula. What matters most is the daily activity you do.

Create a routine around this journaling technique to help it get ingrained in your mind. Ideally, you should set out some time each day (or at least once a week) to write and then stick to it.

Choosing a format that will allow you to fit the process into your busy schedule is important. Remember, though, that goals without action are merely words on a page. So do all you can to pursue your goals, be open to new possibilities, and be confident to do your best to create the life you envision!
